UX work spans research, design, prototyping, and testing. We scale the process to match the project, lightweight for simple sites, more rigorous for complex applications.
- 01User research & discovery
Understanding your users is the starting point. We identify who they are, what they're trying to do, where they get stuck, and what they expect. This can involve stakeholder interviews, user journey mapping, analytics review, and competitive analysis, scaled to what the project needs.
- 02User flow design
We map the paths users take through your platform, from entry point to completed action. This reveals where flows are too long, too complex, or missing steps entirely. Good flow design removes unnecessary friction and keeps users moving toward their goal.
- 03Wireframing & prototyping
Low-fidelity wireframes show structure and flow. Interactive prototypes let you test how something feels before it's built. Both are tools for making decisions cheaply, catching usability problems when they cost minutes to fix, not days.
- 04Interaction design
How does a button respond when clicked? What happens during a loading state? How does a form communicate errors? These micro-interactions seem small, but they define how professional and trustworthy your platform feels. We design interactions that are responsive, clear, and consistent.
- 05Usability testing
We test designs with real users, observing where they succeed, where they struggle, and where they give up. This isn't about validating our work. It's about finding the problems we can't see because we're too close to the design.
- 06UX audits
If your existing platform isn't performing and you're not sure why, we audit the user experience, identifying friction points, navigation issues, confusing patterns, and conversion blockers. You get a prioritised list of what to fix and why it matters.

How we approach UX
Good UX isn't about following trends or copying what competitors do. It's about making decisions based on evidence and designing for how people actually behave.
- 01Behaviour over assumptions
We design based on how people actually use things, not how we think they should. This means making decisions based on evidence: analytics data, user testing, established interaction patterns, and real-world observation.
- 02Simplicity is the goal
Every screen should have a clear purpose. Every element should earn its place. If something doesn't help the user complete their task or make a decision, it's noise, and noise makes products harder to use.
- 03Progressive disclosure
Complex platforms don't need to show everything at once. We design experiences that reveal information progressively, showing what's needed now and making the rest accessible when it's relevant. This reduces cognitive load without hiding important functionality.
- 04Consistency builds confidence
Users learn patterns. If a button works one way on one page and differently on another, trust erodes. We design with consistent interaction patterns, terminology, and visual cues across the entire platform, so users always know what to expect.
- 05Accessibility is UX
An interface that's unusable for some users is badly designed for all users. We build accessibility into UX decisions from the start, logical tab order, clear focus states, proper labelling, sufficient contrast, and screen reader compatibility.
Catching usability problems in a wireframe costs minutes. Catching them after launch costs days. We front-load the design thinking so development time is spent building the right thing, not reworking the wrong one.

Where UX & interaction design matters most
UX design adds the most value where complexity is highest. These are the contexts where deliberate experience design has the biggest impact on adoption, conversion, and support costs.
Applications with complex workflows, multiple user roles, or data-heavy interfaces need deliberate UX design. Without it, users struggle, support requests increase, and adoption stalls.
Every step in a checkout flow is a potential drop-off point. UX design identifies and removes friction, reducing cart abandonment and increasing conversion.
Long forms, application processes, onboarding flows, any multi-step interaction benefits from UX design that guides users through clearly, validates input helpfully, and makes progress visible.

They're related but distinct. UX design focuses on how something works, flows, structure, interactions. Visual design focuses on how it looks, colour, typography, imagery. We often do both, but they can be engaged separately depending on what you need.
A UX audit can take 1–2 weeks. Flow design and wireframing for a typical website takes 2–3 weeks. Larger application UX projects can run 4–8 weeks. We'll scope based on complexity.
